The monthly February review winner is: Lindsey Sol Talk to you soon and get outside! Renée Environmentally Friendly Cleaning in Your Home Most people don’t think about it, but the products they clean their house with can affect their family’s health. Some cleaners have toxic substances like phthalates in synthetic fragrances to the noxious fumes of sodium hydroxide in oven cleaners. Ingredients in common household products have been linked to asthma, cancer, reproductive disorders, hormone disruption and neurotoxicity. You can be affected by skin contact, inhalation, ingestion and even storing them in your house-hold. Since many homes are  almost air-tight these days, our indoor air environment has more chemicals than the air outside. Using natural cleaners like lemon, vinegar and essential oils won’t cause any harm. You can also buy certified cleaners from chain stores, that bear the EcoLogo, Green Seal, and USDA BioBased Certified logos. These logos indicate that the product is actually environmentally friendly and works. Beware, there are many products that say they are, but don’t have any proof! Get educated on these harmful chemicals and make some changes! Referrals & Client Rewards Refer a friend and receive a $15 Tim’s or gas card when they have a cleaning done.  Make sure they mention your name! Upholstery cleaning is not something we think about every day, but it can really improve the air quality of your home! Regularly cleaning your home through vacuuming and other standard efforts is a great way to remove superficial dust, dirt and other items from your upholstery. You understandably want your home to look and smell clean, but you also need the air to be clean and fresh. While your regular cleaning chores can remove some of the dirt, bacteria and other particles from your furniture, some material is left behind. These particles can build up in your furniture over time, and they can result in a dirtier, smellier and altogether unhealthier home. Furthermore, dirty upholstery can directly reduce indoor air quality. Indoor air quality is something that is relatively easy to overlook until respiratory symptoms become problematic. However, this is a component of your indoor environment that should receive regular attention from you. When your home’s indoor air quality is poor, dust and other debris may settle on your furniture and other surfaces very quickly after you clean them. This gives your home a dirty look even if you have recently cleaned. Poor indoor air quality can also result in a smelly home and an increased risk of respiratory conditions. When you are looking for exceptional home cleaning tips, an important tip is to focus on improving indoor air quality through periodic deep cleaning efforts. Your upholstered furnishings are a leading cause of poor indoor air quality. Regular deep upholstery cleaning is necessary if you want to keep your home environment as clean and healthy as possible. Regular vacuuming is simply not enough. Why Upholstery Can Be Problematic… Before you schedule upholstery cleaning services for your home, it is important to understand why these surfaces require special attention. When you use your chairs, sofas or other upholstered furnishings, your body brings bacteria, dander, dust and allergens to the fabric. Because fabric is porous by nature, these elements can become embedded in your furniture. Excellent home cleaning tips will tell you that regularly vacuuming your upholstery is a great way to remove superficial debris on your furniture. However, more significant cleaning steps are also needed for the best results. After all, debris can become so embedded in your furniture that a vacuum cleaner is ineffective. Deep cleaning efforts can remove debris and particles that are too deep for your vacuum’s suction power to reach. Why Special Upholstery Cleaning Services Are Needed Furniture in your living room and in many other areas of the home may be used regularly. Just as you deposit some debris on these surfaces each time you...

2018 FEB NEWSLETTER Happy New Year!   I hope your 2018 is going well so far! It has been nice lately to be at a slower pace and get some overdue tasks done. I do look forward to the busy season though. Thank you to my wonderful clients who referred Foam Frenzy in December andJanuary, especially: Heather and Justin St. PierreBarb and Bob MelocheLena BellemoreKim MousseauJudy and Ernie ColangeloTasha SlaterMelissa SinisacIrene KingBrittany MarshallElaine Barrette Also, thank you to those who booked cleanings and posted reviews! The monthly December and January review winners are: Barb Nolan and Mike Bellaire Talk to you soon!Renée   The Importance of Vacuuming   People shed 1,000,000 skin cells and 50-100 strands of hair every day. Pets also shed their hair and skin and bring dirt inside on their bodies. These particles float around and become trapped all over your house. They can cause reactions to those with asthma and related allergies. Vacuuming will get rid of these things and keep you healthier. Carpet fibers and fabric trap dirt and dust. They need to be vacuumed regularly before the dirt attaches to the fibers. If not, the dirt will become ground into them. This will make them more difficult to clean and it will wear the fibers down, giving a dull appearance. Vacuuming will keep your carpet and upholstery looking new for a longer period of time, which will save you replacement costs. Lastly, vacuuming will make you feel good, knowing its clean and give you a sense of accomplishment. You should vacuum at least twice a week, more often in high traffic areas and daily if you have pets.   Referrals & Client Rewards   Refer a friend and receive a $15 Tim’s or gas card when they have a cleaning done.  Make sure they mention your name!   All clients get 10% off yearly cleanings or 15% off when they clean every 6 months!   Write a review and enter to win a $15 Tim’s or Pioneer gas card!  Facebook, Google or HomeAdvisor.com Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and find the new buttons!   Don’t forget I offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee or I will re-clean it for Free! 519-919-3313 renee@foamfrenzy.com  ...

One question that often comes up when people start to talk about the best way to go about carpet cleaning in their home is whether a professional cleaner is better than renting equipment and cleaning your carpets yourself.   To be sure, there are a lot of carpet cleaning systems on the market. Many of them allow you to rent their equipment and take it home to steam clean or chemical clean the carpets for a lower cost than a professional carpet cleaner would charge you. So what are the pros and cons of working with a professional company that does the carpet cleaning work for you?   Here are some considerations that may help you to make the best choice the next time your carpets need cleaning. We know anyone can just write, “We are the best!” on their website or blog, but do they have the proof to back it up? It basically boils down to 3rd party sources and REAL reviews that the company has gotten on social media or directories proving that they rock the house. Have a look at this post of real comments from real people discussing the pros and cons of using a rental vs professional cleaning company.   Know how effective each carpet cleaning system is:     Cleaning without excessive amounts of water can leave your carpets actually cleaner because they will dry faster, making them less vulnerable to adding new stains.   A professional cleaner can also professionally remove burs and stains as they clean- whereas you might miss the parts of the carpet that need to be groomed.   Using a professional cleaner with a truck gives you many times the power that you get in a cleaning with equipment that you rented from the store.   A professional system that you rent to clean your carpets doesn’t always include the capability of providing furniture cleaning services.     Other Considerations of Hiring a Professional Carpet Cleaner VS using a Rental:   What is the fastest way to get the job done quickly?   If you are in a hurry, using professional carpet cleaning services will definitely help you get your carpets clean faster. You will also get the benefit of a professional drying job that becomes very cost efficient when you realize that you would likely have to rent extra equipment to dry your carpet in advance of whatever event that you are planning.   Because the truck that fuels most commercial systems can apply foam and clean your carpets much faster than rental equipment, having a professional do the application only makes it that much more...
